Fix KDE3 apps running under KDE4 on Gentoo
Since I started using KDE4, I’ve had issues with the weekalarm script on amarok 1.4 giving “no such file or directory” errors in its log and not working in general. I found this is because it expects KDE3’s ‘dcop’ application to be in the path, but it isn’t (the KDE3 path is stripped at some point). The solution to this is to run amarok (or any other KDE3 application) using the “kde3″ script.
In Amarok’s case this means changing the run command to: kde3 amarok %U
